Each scored tablet contains

Levodopa 200+ Benserazide (as hydrochloride) 50 mg (dose 250)

Levodopa 100+ Benserazide (as hydrochloride) 25 mg (dose 125)

Levodopa acts as a precursor to dopamine in the striatum. Benserizide inhibits the decarboxylation of levodopa and therefore reduces its conversion rate to dopamine in peripheral tissues.

This medicine is used in the treatment of Parkinson disease.

If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor.

It is forbidden to use this medicine during breastfeeding.

This medicine has been prescribed for your current illness, so refrain from using it in similar cases or recommending it to others.

Consult your doctor before taking this medicine in the following cases:

Presence of any allergy to levodopa Benserazide or other substances such as meals, dyes and preservatives.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding.

If taken at the same time with any other medicines, especially selegiline, tranylcypromine, procarbazine, aripiprazole, clozapine, haloperidol, olanzapine, chlorpromazine, thiothixene, trifluoperazine, fluphenazine, linezolid, perphenazine, pimozide, promethazine, quetiapine, risperidone, thioridazine.

If you suffer from or have a history of any type of disease, especially angle-closure glaucoma, kidney failure, hematologic disorders, melanoma, seizures, mental disorders, taking antidepressants, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, rhabdomyolysis, liver disorders, cardiovascular failure, gastric ulcer.

Alizapride, Amisulpiride (injection and oral), antipsychotics (first generation [typical]), bromopride, Bromperidol, Fosphenytoin-phenytoin, glycopyrrolate (systemic), iron products, isoniazid, methionine, methotrimeprazine, metoclopramide, multivitamin/fluoride (contains vitamins A, D, E), multivitamin/mineral (containing vitamins A, D, E, K, folate and iron), multivitamin/mineral (containing vitamins A, E and without iron), papaverine, pyridoxine, Sulpiride

Enhancement of drug effects by levodopa Benserazide:

Amifostine, Bromperidol, Buprepion, duloxetine, antihypertensive drugs, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, monoamine oxidase inhibitors (type B), nitroprusside, pholcodine

Enhancement effects of levodopa Benserazide by medicines:

Alfozosin, barbiturates, biperiden, antihypertensives, brimonidine, Briodine, diazoxide, herbs (with antihypertensive properties), lormetazepam, methylphenidate, Molcidomine, Naftopidil, nicergoline, nicorandil, Obinutuzumab, papaverine, pentoxifylline, phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors (PDE5), prostacyclin analogs, quinagolide, Sapropterin, Solriamfetol

Food interactions: A high-protein diet can interfere with the absorption of levodopa. Amino acids compete with levodopa for transport across the intestinal wall and the blood-brain barrier.

Remedy: Avoid high protein diet. (Food consumption reduces levodopa absorption by 15% and the peak plasma concentration by 30%.)

Take with or immediately after a meal.

Levoparkin should be used with extreme caution in the following cases.

Severe cardiovascular disease, history of melanoma, depression, psychosis, history of myocardial infarction and atrial and ventricular arrhythmia, digestive disorders and kidney failure.

The amount of this medicine should be determined for each individual independently. Taking Levoparkin should be stopped at least 12 hours before starting treatment with this medication.

Patients with sinus bradycardia, heart block greater than first degree, cardiogenic shock or marked heart failure.

Hypersensitivity to bisoprolol fumarate or other components of the formulation or sulfonamides.

All medicines have possible unwanted side effects along with the therapeutic effect, although not all of these side effects can be seen in the same person. However, if any of them occurred, consult your doctor.

Movement disorders, (involuntary facial movements), nausea, muscle cramps or pain, diarrhea, urine discoloration, dizziness or fainting due to hypertension or antihypertension (drop or increase in blood pressure), abdominal pain, heartburn, xerostomia (dry mouth), constipation, sleep disorder, tachycardia or bradycardia (increase or decrease in heart rate), dyspnea (shortness of breath), hyperhidrosis (increased sweating), blurred vision, anorexia and weight loss, joint pain, aggression and hallucinations.

Common side effects: movement disorders, involuntary movements of facial muscles, aggression, hallucinations, fear, depression, cramps or muscle pain.

Uncommon side effects: Bleeding gums, epistaxis (nosebleeds), blurred vision, change in heartbeat rhythm, change in urine color or dysuria (painful urination) or hematuria (presence of blood in urine), vasomotor (hot flashes), chest pain, difficulty in swallowing, sore throat, skin color change, confusion or dizziness.

Poisoning: In case of accidental consumption and more than the amount recommended by the doctor, take the patient to the hospital immediately.

Do not stop taking the medicine without consulting your doctor.

This medicine may cause drowsiness, so avoid driving and working with equipment that requires full alertness while taking the medicine.

Inform your doctor immediately in case of pregnancy or the possibility of its occurrence.

 

The dosage of this medicine is determined by the doctor. Take the medicine daily at a certain time and carefully follow the diet recommended by the doctor. The treatment period with this medicine must be completed. Do not stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor.

It may take a few weeks to a few months to achieve the desired therapeutic results.

Caution should be taken in case of drowsiness as well as getting up suddenly from lying or sitting position.

Missed dose: If less than two hours have passed since the previous dose, take it as soon as you remember. If more than two hours have passed since the previous dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the scheduled time. Never double the dose.

Keep the medicine at a temperature below 30 degrees centigrade and in the original packaging. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children. Avoid using expired medicines.
